At the dental practice of James Aldridge Jr. DDS, we offer tooth extractions to help our patients in Huntington, West Virginia recover from smile issues. Do you have a tooth damaged by decay? Do you have a broken tooth? There are times we may attempt to save the tooth with a dental filling or crown restoration. But with extensive tooth damage, we may need to extract the tooth.

A tooth in your smile may be extracted for several reasons:

–You are preparing for braces. Extracting the tooth will make room for the teeth that need to move.

–You have infected, impacted, or decayed wisdom teeth causing you pain.

–You have an extra tooth which blocks a tooth from emerging.

–You require radiation to the head and neck areas or are using cancer drugs that result in infected teeth from a weakened immune system.

For a simple extraction, Dr. James N. Aldridge Jr. will loosen it to remove the tooth. If the tooth requires a surgical extraction, he will make a small incision in the gum to remove the tooth. We make sure you are as comfortable as possible during the extraction.

If you have any questions or concerns about a tooth needing extraction, please call our office to speak with a member of our caring staff. We are here for your smile. Simply call 304-523-3666 today!
